Samuel Glicklich, a pianist born and raised in Los Angeles, is quickly establishing himself as a compelling and versatile young artist. He received both his Bachelor of Music and Master of Music degrees from the Colburn Conservatory of Music, where he studied with Fabio Bidini, and currently continues his studies at the Musik-Akademie Basel under the guidance of Claudio Martínez Mehner.

Samuel is the recipient of numerous international awards. His honors include First Prize at the 2025 Maestro Piano Competition, Second Prize at the 2022 Casagrande International Piano Competition, and Third Prize at the 2021 Singapore International Piano Competition. He has also been awarded the KulturKontakt Eppan Artist Prize at the 2025 Piano Academy Eppan, and was named a prizewinner at the 2025 Bösendorfer Piano Competition. Additional distinctions include winning the 2022 Colburn School Concerto Competition and the 2019 Aspen Music Festival Concerto Competition, as well as prizes at the Canada International Piano Competition, Seattle International Piano Competition, and Glendale Piano Competition. In 2023, he was a solo finalist at the prestigious Busoni International Piano Competition.

He was recently awarded the “Young Talents” scholarship from the Musique & Vin au Clos Vougeot Festival in France, co-directed by Jean-Yves Thibaudet and Gautier Capuçon.

An active collaborator, Samuel has worked closely with renowned artists including Jean-Yves Thibaudet, with whom he has performed at the Argyros Performing Arts Center and The Wallis Center for the Performing Arts. He has also appeared with cellist Gautier Capuçon at the Musique & Vin au Clos Vougeot Festival. His collaborations extend to composer Eric Whitacre, serving as featured pianist in Whitacre’s virtual choir project Sing Gently, as well as performances with Tatjana Masurenko, Martin Beaver, and Peter Lloyd. He has also worked with distinguished conductors James Conlon and Ludovic Morlot.

Samuel has appeared in major venues across the United States, including Carnegie Hall as a guest of the radio program From the Top, Benaroya Hall, and the Bing Theater at LACMA for the broadcast series Sundays Live.
